Phoenix:
After wearing my uniform, I brushed my hair and then fixed the mask on my face. Last night it was pretty hard to fall asleep because Sebastian didn't visit.
Though it was I who stopped him but I still didn't like the feeling. I was again falling for the same man who had failed me two years back.
"It's good that he wasn't here," I mumbled and then checked Kiara's necklace against my collarbone, "Perfect!"
To hide the necklace, I wore a light armor vest that was part of our uniform. Jai took special permission to let me wear it.
Werewolves didn't feel cold, so they never needed cardigans or jackets. My issue was different.
I was giving a once-over to myself in the mirror when I received the call from Beta Brian, "Beta!"
"Phoenix!" he seemed to be in a hurry, "Where are you? All the warriors are here in the grand hall."
He sounded tense, and I knew why.
