5. Improving Skills
Kevin didn't take it easy—he trained hard to improve his abilities. He wasn't satisfied even though he could mimic the skills of the football stars he saw on TV. Manchester United's young star, Cristiano Ronaldo, was dominating the Premier League. Ronaldinho was a magician on the pitch, Roberto Carlos had a powerful shot, and David Beckham had beautiful free kicks.
There were many great footballers in one team, and they worked together at Leicester City to win without losing. It was a challenge for his current teammates. But Kevin never complained; he was eager to push the club forward and become champions!
His body couldn't improve the way it had in that world, but it had already surpassed that of an ordinary human!
Kevin: "I won't get injured—this is already amazing for a footballer."
The Eye of God helped him avoid danger, allowing him to see in all directions. He could even pass the ball without looking at his teammate first. It felt more real compared to other players using the same trick, who had to be sure before attempting it. Kevin was different.
Kevin knew of people who often used no-look passes—Ronaldinho and Cristiano Ronaldo were known for them.
Andy: "You always hit the mark? What's the trick? I want to do no-look passes too!"
Kevin: "You have to sneak a glance, and... it also takes talent."
Andy scratched his head. "Damn, so it's about talent?"
Young players usually wouldn't make it to the first team so soon, unlike Kevin, who had above-average skills. He was a future football star—everyone could see it from his flamboyant dribbling style, shifting the ball from his left to his right foot.
One player: "Honestly, we have to foul him if we want to take the ball…"
Another player: "It's like the ball is glued to his feet—it just won't leave him. Luckily, he's on our team."
Many witnessed the moment Kevin took a David Beckham-style free kick—same movement, a beautiful curve, hit the crossbar and went into the net. Out of 10 attempts, 7 went in, and Kevin felt he should've scored all of them.
Everyone murmured, "Wow, can he copy everyone's skills?"
One day, he watched a video of a footballer kicking the ball to the crossbar and having it rebound back to him and his teammate. Kevin was intrigued and wanted to learn it, even though the video was believed to be edited for an ad. But to Kevin, it was worth mastering. Unfortunately, he failed—but he was determined to make it real!
His house wasn't far from the Leicester City club, so he preferred going home over staying in the dorms. Many people saw him and asked for autographs, claiming to be loyal fans. They hoped Kevin would stay, but ultimately, it depended on the club. One day, Kevin's high value could bring great profit—whether the club kept him or not, even though Kevin wanted to stay at Leicester City.
Kevin was happy in this world—football had become his new life. He couldn't live like a regular office worker; he was a former frontline warrior, and only the thrill of battle made his heart race!
Author's Note: (Kevin's appearance—golden blonde hair, sky-blue eyes, and even more handsome than young David Beckham. Height: 180 cm. Nationality: English! Hopefully chosen for the England national team!)
