What Axel was not expecting, from all the possible reactions Josh could give, was for the man to suddenly spring to his feet, jab a finger in Axel's direction, and shout, "What? You have a boyfriend?"
Even Marlon froze for a second, his eyes widening at the outburst. He clearly had not been expecting that either.
Before Axel could even open his mouth, Marlon was already on his feet, crossing the space in two quick strides. He grabbed Josh by the neck in a rough grip and started dragging him forward.
"I've been wanting to beat you up since earlier," Marlon snapped. "Are you crazy? Why are you shouting about matters that have nothing to do with you? Does my big brother need your permission before he gets himself a boyfriend?"
Josh tried to speak, but Axel's glare pinned him in place.
"Seriously," Axel said, his voice cool. "If there's something wrong with your brain, get it checked. Stop traumatizing people everywhere you go."
