Chapter 95 - Chapter 95: End

It's here.

The war I've been waiting for has finally arrived. Not the kind with loud speeches and dramatic music—just the cold, heavy silence before everything breaks.

I turned to Morgan. "Call the council," I said calmly, though every part of me wanted to grab a rifle and start making noise.

He gave a sharp nod and took off without a word. I think we both knew—this wasn't going to be like last time. This was going to be worse.

I looked at Aaron. "Stay here for a moment—we're just going to plan things out. I promise you, by tomorrow, we'll be ready. For now… we prepare."

He nodded silently, still catching his breath. The poor guy looked like he'd aged five years in five minutes. Apocalypse cardio—it's brutal.

Then I heard it—boots on gravel, rough and heavy. Like trouble had a rhythm.

I turned and saw Daryl and Merle heading my way. Daryl looked serious, which was his default setting. Merle, on the other hand, looked like a guy who just found out bar fights were legal again.

Daryl gave me a look. "We goin' to war?"

I let out a quiet breath. Gave a firm nod. "Yeah. We are."

Merle slapped a hand against my back hard enough to rattle my spine and grinned like a kid on Christmas. "Damn right we are, Ricky boy. I've been bored outta my damn mind."

I didn't even flinch. At this point, Merle's enthusiasm for chaos was just part of the decor.

Eventually the council aggred with me to go to war since they have already killed in cold blood of our people we cant let that slip away Guillermo immediate prepared what we need and Shane orelrade the people

Eventually, the council agreed with me.

There was no hesitation—not after hearing what Aaron said. These people had already killed in cold blood.

Kal. Dianna.

Our allies. Our friends.

We couldn't let that slip away. Not again. Not this time.

Guillermo immediately began preparing what we needed—supplies, weapons, medical kits, and a communication line with Hilltop and the Kingdom.

Meanwhile, Shane took command, rallying the people. His voice echoed through the camp, barking orders, organizing groups, checking weapons, assigning roles.

Morning came.

The sun hadn't even fully risen, but we were already standing outside our walls—lined up, ready.

Rows of vehicles stretched along the dirt road—trucks, bikes, armored sedans—rigged with steel plates and reinforced bumpers. Beside them stood people… an army.

Four hundred strong.

All fully geared.

All armed.

All ready.

This wasn't just Alexandria's fight anymore.

This was everyone's war—Hilltop, the Kingdom, and us. United.

The Saviors wouldn't see this coming.

I walked to the front, the gravel crunching beneath my boots. I looked across our people.

I raised my voice.

"Today, we take the fight to them. They wanted war?"

I paused—gripping my rifle tighter.

"Let's give it to them."

The engines roared to life as I climbed into the lead vehicle.

"Let's go."

And just like that… the army moved.

The First War of the Republic had begun.
