Chapter 1 - The last roar and new beginning

---

Prologue: The Last Roar

The skies over Cloud Crystal Sect cracked open with fire and thunder.

Screams echoed down jade halls as disciples clashed with shadowy figures in blood-drenched robes—enemies from the **Abyss Sea Cult**. The outer sect burned. The core disciples retreated. The Sect Mistress stood at the summit, blade in hand, her face calm and cold.

And beneath her tower, in the shadow of her legacy, a dragon bled.

Scales blackened. Wings torn. Breath shallow.

**Long Tian**, once a proud celestial beast, now a battle-worn mount.

He had no voice in the sect. No name on the ledgers.

No tomb waiting for him.

But his eyes burned with instinct—to protect the girl.

She was just sixteen, a genius of sword and light, her eyes like the Sect Mistress's, but fiercer.

They called her Xue'er.

She didn't know.

Didn't know he was her father.

Didn't know the Sect Mistress once used him during cultivation practices and never looked back.

Didn't know that the dragon who carried her into battle had once kissed the stars for her sake.

An elder's attack aimed for her heart—she was too slow to dodge.

But he wasn't.

Long Tian roared and took the blow.

A geyser of blood exploded from his chest. He fell like a star, shattering the platform beneath them.

The girl screamed. The Sect Mistress didn't.

As darkness closed in, he thought—not of death, but of how it should have been different. How he should have spoken. How he should have been seen.

Then… silence.

And then… boom only death was the answer. But he couldn't die in front of the people that is against the dragons code especially his own daughter thus he gave it all to die in a far away place. He also knew one thing with the strength of the sect there is no way they could be defeated or be attacked, thus he came to conclusions that all this was all a plan from that ruthless and cold sect master and all for what? He's not even the strongest but she is and she might even be from another plane the (....the upper plane.....) because since the day he and she did that anytime he got stronger some strength left him. Although he's happy about dying,he's still regretting about that girl, her own daughter.

*Chapter One: The Man Who Woke the Dragon**

*Somewhere deep inside a burning sky…*

"Where the hell am I?"

Lin Yu sat up with a jolt, heart racing, breath ragged. He wasn't in his office at the university. No lectures. No chalkboards. No pavement beneath his feet.

Just… fire. Smoke. And a massive, reptilian body.

He looked down.

Claws.

Thick black scales.A massive dragon tail curled around debris."…What in the actual f—"

> *System initializing...*

> *\[Wish System bound to host: Lin Yu]*

> *You have inherited the body of 'Long Tian,' a dragon-mount of the Cloud Crystal Sect.*

> *Your soul has merged due to fatal energy resonance at death.*

> *Wishes available: 1*

"System? A Wish System? I… transmigrated?"

Memories that weren't his flooded him. Screams. Blades. A girl's cry. A piercing sadness that didn't belong to him—but now lived inside his bones.

The dragon he now was… had died protecting someone.

A girl.His daughter?Lin Yu's mind reeled.

"No. He didn't even know she was his. He… he was used. Humiliated. Forced into battle. And now…"

He clenched his claws into rubble. Lightning sparked from his scales.

A whisper echoed in his mind. Not the system. The dying thoughts of Long Tian, etched in his soul:

> *"Let her live. Let her be free. Even if I die in chains."*

Lin Yu looked to the sky."No. You died forgotten. But I won't live that way."

> *Do you wish to evolve into a humanoid form and escape detection? Cost: One wish.*

"Yes," he growled. "I wish to rise."

*Wish granted.*

His dragon body shimmered. Scales peeled away. Bones cracked and reformed. Wings folded in.

And there, standing among the ashes, was a man.

Tall. Bare-chested. Black eyes glowing with thunder. A red dragon mark burned across his back. He took his first step in this world as **not a beast, but a storm waiting to be unleashed.**

The Cloud Crystal Sect would never see him coming.

And he wouldn't walk their paths again.

He turned to the western mountains—toward the forbidden sects.

> *Demonbone Sect detected. Initiating path alignment…*
