Chapter 38 - Chapter 38: A God Descended to Kill Me

The sky tore open like parchment soaked in oil.

Light poured through the crack—not warm, not holy, just wrong.

Seravex descended in a pillar of corrupted feathers, his voice thunder and static:

"KAZUKI. YOU BROKE THE TERMS."

Kazuki stood there, hands in his pockets, like someone who just deleted the Terms & Conditions mid-scroll and hit "Accept Anyway."

The world paused.

Literally.

Time stopped within a two-mile radius.Birds froze mid-flap.Wind hung in the air like it was waiting for permission.

Only two beings were still moving:

Seravex: the god of unwritten threads, system oversight, and very poor anger management.

Kazuki: system-breaking rewrite entity with a punch powered by guilt, grief, and one too many bad decisions.

Seravex towered above him, eyes glowing with raw logic.

"You were supposed to reset the cycle."

"I know."

"You were supposed to die in shrine seven."

"Yeah, missed that deadline."

"You were supposed to be a function. Not a person."

Kazuki stepped forward.

"Funny. I feel very person-shaped today."

Seravex's spear materialized—coded light wrapped in celestial flame.

[GOD-CLASS ABILITY: SYSTEM PURGE INITIATED]

He lunged.

Kazuki didn't flinch.

He raised one hand.

And punched.

It wasn't a magic punch.

It wasn't skill-based.

It was raw Rewrite Force—the system's own code bent backward into a blunt object.

The air shattered.

The spear fractured.

And Seravex's face broke.

He reeled, stumbling—bleeding.

Not metaphorical blood. Real divine ichor. It hissed against the grass. The ground cracked under it.

Far away, in guild halls and divine altars, systems flickered.

Clerics gasped. Temples dimmed. And somewhere, a minor priest dropped his communion bread and whispered:

"A god just got punched."

Kazuki walked forward, slowly.

"You're just code wearing feathers."

Seravex growled, voice cracking.

"You are a mistake."

Kazuki reached into the air.

Typed with his fingers:

/god.permissions: revoke

Seravex screamed.

And vanished.

System update:

[Kazuki has committed a Null-Class Violation.][Divine Infrastructure Damaged.][God: Seravex — Status: DISABLED]

And just like that, time resumed.

The birds fell out of the sky.

The wind collapsed like it had held its breath too long.

And the world?

The world knew.

Because every player, every priest, every watcher of the cycle...

Got one shared message:

"KAZUKI PUNCHED A GOD."

"HE WON."
