Despite their efforts, Shane and Hansol remained magnetically stuck together. Every attempt to separate was met with a golden spark that yanked them right back.
Luna giggled. "You two are literally made for each other now."
Selen, curious and serious as ever, stepped forward. "This is ridiculous."
She raised her hand, summoning a blade of pure frost energy. "Let me try—carefully."
She slashed toward the bond—but the moment her magic touched the golden thread, it bounced off like light on a mirror.
"No way…" she whispered. "Even divine magic can't break this?"
Suddenly, a majestic aura filled the air. The trees bowed. The wind calmed.
Everyone instinctively turned—and Wei Hansol's mother, cloaked in deep red and gold robes, stepped into view. Her crown shimmered, and guards lined behind her.
Every student bowed immediately.
"Her Majesty…" Selen murmured.
Hansol stiffened. "M-Mother?!"
She walked straight up, her eyes blazing. "So! You finally found a girl and didn't bother telling your own mother?" she snapped.
Shane looked up, stunned. "Wait—she's your mom?!"
Hansol sighed, clearly defeated. "Yes… Queen Lianghua of the Blazing Sun Empire."
But to everyone's shock—Queen Lianghua smiled at Shane.
"Well… at least you have good taste. She's got fire in her eyes."
She raised one hand. Her divine aura flared—the golden bond snapped. Shane fell into Hansol again, this time without the magic's push.
"Oops," Shane muttered, blushing. "Reflex."
But before anyone could tease more, Queen Lianghua picked Shane up bridal style.
"We're taking her to the palace. I need to speak with her properly."
"Wait—WHAT?!" Shane shouted.
The others burst into laughter. Luna clutched her sides. "She just got adopted by royalty."
Hansol groaned, dragging his hand down his face. "Why does this always happen to me…"
With everyone still giggling, the group followed the queen to the grand Blazing Sun Palace, unaware that the golden bond… might still linger in the shadows.
