HERODUDE KAGE: CHAPTER 31
After the final strike, The Liquefier crashes down to the ground as the lava fades away.
HeroDude rolls and stumbles to the ground with the too kids. He snaps his head up and runs to the Dad.
"Ugh i definitely didn't crap myself—I MEAN UHH…believe these kids are yours, sir."
The father quickly grabs his kids and holds them tight.
"Oh my sweet baby boys! You're ok??"
The kids look at each other, and then at HeroDude, and then at their dad, and then back at each other.
"That….was….so….AWESOME!!!!"
HeroDude and the dad look at the boys with a confused stare. (As if their looking at a baby who learned an "adult" word.) The dad speaks first.
"Awesome?"
HeroDude speaks after
"Y'all kinda almost died."
The kids start to run and jump around the two
"The lava charging towards us? The heat? The awesome save??? Dad you should've been there!!!"
HeroDude thinks to himself.
"Just like me as a kid…"
The dad hugs the kids once again.
"Well, that type of fun is something you kids shouldn't have. Cause it wasn't fun for me. I could've lost you two…. I can't….I can't live with that feeling again!"
HeroDude tilts his head
"Again?"
The kids give their dad a warm smile.
"Dad! We weren't doing to die!"
One of the kids points at HeroDude. Who was just about to walk away.
"We had HeroDude! I told you he was a real hero Dad!"
The dad looks up to HeroDude
"Oh…oh yes! Yes yes yes The HeroDude!"
The dad runs to HeroDude with his kids and quickly shakes his hand
"Where are my manners! You saved both of my son's life! Thank you Thank you Thank you!"
"Yep… no problem my boy. Just. Try to keep a closer eye on ya kids."
"I will! I will. I just thought I could head to the store, and then…all of this happened!"
"Well. We do live in a pretty messed up world."
HeroDude looks around and sees people looking around with relief. Some say, "thank you HeroDude" others whisper to each other's ears. He looks closely at the whispers and The dad notices.
"You know. My kids are always talking about uhh what they call them? Oh! "HeroDude haters" but aye. After what I seen you did.
"I saw that you chose to save my sons over killing that guy, that really says a lot about your character! So uhhh. I don't know much this'll help block out the noise."
"But after today. I think you're a Hero. And I bet there some people out there that think the same thing!"
HeroDude looks down at the father and then gives a smile under his mask.
"Thanks man. I'll keep that in mind."
Suddenly, Quadeem runs up and grabs HeroDude by the shoulder.
"Sir."
He looks down at the kids
"Little sirs. I'm afraid that HeroDude is on a tight schedule so I'll be taking him now."
Quadeem quickly pushes HeroDude away from them. HeroDude shouts out to him.
"Aye man! Why ya do that! That was a satisfied customer!"
"Wow. No thank you for saving your a**? I hope you know that I put my all in that throw! Dang near almost dislocated my shoulder! So at least you can say thank you! Or pay my hospital bills. Y'know, just in case I did mess up my shoulder."
"You know what bro….
HeroDude thinks back to that moment where Quadeem threw his sword just in time. He thought he was going to….

"Yeah yeah no problem. It's a big brother's job after all. To save their lil bro from the dumb s**t they started—
"Alright bruh don't push it."
Quadeem stops HeroDude for a moment
"Actually. Speaking of dumb s**"
Outta nowhere, Quadeem starts honking HeroDude's head with his scabbard.
"Bro what the—-what is this for?"
"You started conflict with sorcerers without my supervision. Cause of that, Mom gave me full permission…."
Quadeem bonks him one more time.
"Ow!"
"…to bonk you. I should also warn you that Mom is pissed about this too. To you might wanna wear extra padding when you get home."
"Mom never whooped me I'm good!"
Quadeem changes the topic
"Anyways… behind of that "satisfied customer" there was a group of citizens yapping. And I remember last time when there was a group of people yapping about you."
"Oh bite me! You think that's gonna happen again?"
"What needs to happen now is you finishing the job."
Quadeem pushes HeroDude to the dying corpse of The Liquefier. Where, notably, paint is melting from his body.
"Paint?"
"Weird right?"
"Yeah."
HeroDude quickly runs to The Liquefier with a balled up fist ready to strike
"Aye man. Never seen you use paint in our fight. What's up with that?"
The Liquefier's face returns to normal. He looks up shocked! And confused.
"What? Where am I."
"Sucka did I knock the memories out of you? Did you forget about the whole battle we just had? Ya know the battle where you almost melted like 20 blocks with lava?"
"….we fought?"
HeroDude aggressively points at him
"AYE! Don't. Play. Dumb. With me."
"RELAX! I swear I'm already beat! Come on HeroDude we both sorcerers! How…how about we team up! Huh?"
"Team up? Ok. Let's work as a team then. Let's start with you telling me why you acting like you don't remember nothing?"
"Listen! I was just in the museum. And then the artist sorcerer pulled up…and before I could fight him, I was covered in paint and now I'm here!"
HeroDude raises a brow.
"So you don't remember anything. But the fact you was covered in paint and that's that?"
"….Yeah…pretty much."
"…. Alright. Thanks."
HeroDude then punches a hole right in Liquefier's head. His body fades, and HeroDude heals, The Liquefier has been eliminated.
Quadeem looks away.
"Bro."
HeroDude looks up.
"What? He ain't know nothing! He wasn't gonna be no help!"
"Still, he sounded like he really wanted to make a team with ya."
Man…do you not read comics? Whenever the villain teams with with the hero, the villain always betrays them!"
Quadeem sighs.
"Whatever man."
HeroDude stands up
"Besides, now we know that the art sorcerer controlled the guy. That gotta mean something!"
"Speaking of art."
Quadeem points to a random guy knocked out on the ground. HeroDude looks on with confusion.
"Did he…pass out?"
"Bruh no!"
"Well…then how he got like that then?
"Well basically….."
