Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 Give Me Some Time

Seeing Shen Ye close the door, Jill had the urge to raise his gun again, but after seeing Shen Ye close the door, he let his hands hang down, letting the AR15 rifle hang on his chest, and suppressed the urge.

She knew the other party was trying to show that he had no ill intentions, so she put the gun back into the holster and turned off the safety.

Shen Ye noticed this detail and couldn't help but sigh in his heart that the safety of his gun was still on.

"Can you tell me who you are and why you are here?"

The two stared at each other for a while, and Jill was the first to break the silence.

Shen Ye pondered for a while, but couldn't think of the right words. He cleared his throat and said, "My name is Shen Ye, a tourist from China. As for why I'm here, I want to say that as a tourist, it's not surprising for me to appear anywhere."

"Really? Tourist? Do you think I look like those two little girls from Barry's family who are only a few years old?" Jill suddenly wanted to laugh. She glanced at the AR15 hanging on Shen Ye's chest and said sarcastically, "If you want to make up a lie, you should make it sound more convincing. You are a tourist with an automatic rifle."

Just as Shen Ye had thought before, no one would believe that a tourist would travel with an AR15, especially in an area blocked by the Raccoon City police.

Shen Ye sighed slightly. He had expected Jill to say this, but his mind worked quickly and he immediately came up with a new excuse.

"Indeed, this is unbelievable. But ma'am, I have to correct you on one point. Due to the laws of your country, this is a semi-automatic rifle. Also, this is America, a free country. It is very normal to travel with a rifle, and this is also my freedom."

Jill was speechless for a moment after hearing Shen Ye's words. After a long while, she murmured, "So I don't really like this kind of freedom. It's a bit too much."

But she quickly reacted because she remembered something.

"You said you were a tourist from China, but I remember that tourists entering the country are not allowed to carry guns. I have reason to suspect that your guns were obtained illegally, because our country's laws do not allow the sale of guns to tourists entering the country."

"Uh..." Faced with Jill's words, Shen Ye didn't think of how to respond for a moment and could only remain silent.

Seeing this, Jill's face slightly raised, and she continued: "I admit that your words just now almost misled me, but for an elite police officer in Raccoon City, it is still far from enough, so Mr. Tourist, you must give me a reasonable explanation, otherwise I will arrest you."

"That's a reasonable explanation!" Shen Ye scratched his head in embarrassment, and then asked, "My dear lady, are you in a hurry now?"

Jill frowned: "Why do you ask?"

Shen Ye spread his hands: "Because it will take me some time to come up with a reasonable explanation."

This time it was Jill's turn to be speechless. Seeing Shen Ye's expression that said "you are making things difficult for me", she waved her hand fiercely: "Damn it, this is such a waste of time and there is no meaningful communication."

"Yeah, so why don't we just skip this topic?" Shen Ye chuckled: "Besides, my identity is not important. You just need to know that I have no ill intentions, otherwise you would have no chance to shoot me."

"That's why I'm willing to talk nonsense with you, sir." Jill certainly understood that if the man in front of her really had bad intentions, she would be dead now.

Of course, it was not just because the other party had no ill intentions. The woman's sixth sense vaguely told her that the man in front of her was definitely not an ordinary person, and he seemed to know something.

However, Jill was too lazy to dwell on this matter anymore. The most important thing now was to find out the details of this mansion and then find the surviving members of the missing Brava team.

"By the way, since you already know my name, could you please introduce yourself? I can't always call you Ms., right? Although it is a respectful title, I always feel a sense of distance." Looking at Jill who seemed to be in deep thought, Shen Ye couldn't help but speak.

"It's good to keep a distance." Although Jill said this, she still introduced herself:

"Jill, Jill Valentine, the star police officer in Raccoon City."

  …

Telling each other names is the first step to becoming friends, but of course, that alone is not enough.

After knowing Jill's name by asking knowingly, Shen Ye tactfully turned the topic to the western-style mansion that Jill cared about most.

"I just saw you rummaging through something in the room. Did you find anything?" Shen Ye asked, looking at the mess of documents on the table that Jill had flipped through.

Sure enough, Jill's attention was diverted. She frowned and said, "Nothing has been found yet."

Shen Ye was not surprised. The plot had just begun and Jill and the others did not have enough information, except for him.

But he couldn't reveal a single word.

He just tried, but before the words came to his lips, they were blocked by a force. This could only be attributed to the limitations of the system.

After thinking for a while, Shen Ye suggested: "Let's go to other rooms. The mansion is so big, we can always find something."

Jill nodded. "That's exactly what I'm going to do."

Then she glanced at Shen Ye and said, "Do you have any extra 9mm bullets?"

  "Yes, of course."

Jill said with some embarrassment: "Can you give me some? I don't have many bullets left."

In the game, the protagonists can rummage through boxes or steal corpses to collect ammunition, but in reality, every bullet you fire is one less.

  "Of course, but..."

As Shen Ye spoke, he took off his backpack, put it on the table, unzipped it, and in front of Jill's shocked eyes, he took out another AR15 and a shotgun and threw them to her.

"Compared to pistol bullets, I think you need this more."

Looking at the two spears in her hands, Jill finally couldn't help it. She stared at Shen Ye intently: "You must know something."

"Sorry, I don't know anything." Shen Ye shrugged: "I'm just a passerby."

"Passerby? Then why are you so well prepared?" Jill continued to ask.

Shen Ye smiled and took out some more magazines and handed them to Jill: "Because I lack a sense of security. In an unfamiliar environment, weapons can bring me a little comfort."

Of course, Jill didn't believe Shen Ye's words. Up to now, she thought that most of what Shen Ye said were lies.

The only thing that I felt might be true was probably what Shen Ye said, that he had no ill will towards me.

The gun in her hand is the best evidence.

But why did he do that?

  Or, what does he think?

  Jill was puzzled.
