Chapter 204 - Chapter 204: So dumb!

G-5 Marine Base Office.

Inside the G-5 Marine Base office building, Sephiroth stood in front of an office door. Just as he was about to knock, the door opened and a man and a woman came out humming—their voices high and low, causing a small twitch in Sephiroth's eye.

As if he had anticipated this kind of thing, he chose to lean against the corridor wall, crossed his arms over his chest, and closed his eyes. About half an hour later, the atmosphere in the room finally quieted down.

Click!

The office door opened and a woman came out. She was wearing blue denim shorts and a red bikini top, with exotic, wheat-colored skin. As soon as she saw Sephiroth's handsomeness, she immediately blew a kiss, half-teasingly, "Wow~! What a handsome man! I work at the rum bar in town. If you need service, I can give you a 50% discount!"

"Uh?! Some other time!" Sephiroth pretended to scratch his head awkwardly, but in his heart, he muttered, "When Gion serves me, she still has to pay me. Oh, a commoner like you has to be paid? I'd rather serve Miss Gion again, if she's happy, I can get a hundred thousand Berry on the way! Ah, damn it! My thoughts are getting weirder now."

Knock, knock, knock!

Sephiroth finally stepped forward and knocked on the open office door, shouting inside, "Reporting to Rear Admiral William! I, Sephiroth, have come to report to the G-5 base on the orders of Marine Headquarters!"

"Come in! Don't mind those trivial things."

Inside the room, a fat middle-aged man with a pot belly and white hair at his temples was visible. Wearing the rank of Rear Admiral, he leaned back in his office chair with a cigar in his mouth and his feet on the table. His expression looked very relaxed, even a little impatient.

Sephiroth came in and walked to the table, placing the list of transferred soldiers and related information. "A smoke?" the fat Rear Admiral named William asked, without looking at the documents in front of him, he took a cigar from the box.

"Yes!"

Sephiroth nodded, caught the cigar that William threw, and bit into it. He then placed his right index finger and thumb on the tip of the cigar.

Shigan!

A small flame came out of his fingertips, instantly lighting the cigar.

Seeing that scene, Rear Admiral William's eyes lit up with surprise. He didn't expect the silver-haired youth in his twenties in front of him to have such a high mastery of Rokushiki.

A person like Sephiroth being transferred here could mean one of two things: he was showing off, or he had a big problem.

"Sephiroth. The name... I feel like I've heard it before," Rear Admiral William muttered while rubbing his bulging belly.

Although he was a Rear Admiral and led the G-5 base, he was just a marginal figure in the eyes of the Marine brass. He didn't care about the outside world and always acted as he pleased. After all, G-5 was a "rogue branch," a place that was hated among the Marines. Other bases on the Grand Line had thousands of soldiers, while G-5 only had two to three hundred people. This clearly showed how far G-5 was from the core power circle!

After thinking for a moment, Rear Admiral William suddenly remembered. "Oh! You're the commander who was stationed in Sabaody, who was rumored to have had a conflict with Akainu?"

He realized, Akainu was the acting General, while Sephiroth was only a Rear Admiral. There must have been a conflict there.

"Forget it! Let's get straight to the point. Let me tell you about the G-5 branch. There are currently 224 active members, plus the newcomers, a total of 257. I have divided them into five units, each consisting of about fifty people. Unit 03 was wiped out by pirates a while ago. Since you're here, you can directly serve as the commander of Unit 03! The thirty-two people who came with you, plus the eighteen veterans here, a total of fifty. Because of G-5's situation being sandwiched between several forces, our patrol range can be said to be very wide or very small. For the details, you can see for yourself on the navigation chart."

Sephiroth just stayed silent.

"I have basically introduced the general situation of G-5. Now, I will give you some advice. G-5 is indeed chaotic, and I don't bother to manage it, but... one thing you must remember: Don't bother me, and don't report to me if there are any problems. Handle your own problems. If you can't solve it yourself, you are useless to me, so I will report it directly to Marine Headquarters..."

Sephiroth was once again silent.

"Is there anything else you want to know?" William put out his cigar in the ashtray before looking at the silver-haired youth.

"No more," Sephiroth said, shaking his head.

"Hmm! In that case, you can go!" Hearing that, William nodded with satisfaction and waved his hand.

After leaving the G-5 commander's office, Sephiroth asked Frank to gather his men on the playground. Without further ado, he looked at the soldiers who were standing sloppily.

"I'm not targeting anyone, but everyone here is trash!" Sephiroth said loudly. "Anyone who doesn't accept it, please come forward and beat me up together! If you win, I will polish your shoes and wash your clothes myself!"

As soon as Sephiroth finished speaking, some of the rogue soldiers immediately grinned ferociously and rushed toward him, ready to beat their new commander to a pulp.

However...

Within seconds, the rogue soldiers who came forward were already lying on the ground, bruised and swollen.

Seeing this situation, Frank, who was watching with his arms folded over his shoulders, could only shake his head. "You guys are still too young, too stupid," he muttered. He remembered, when Sephiroth first came to Sabaody, he also beat Frank and more than 200 other soldiers without a single injury.
