"Hey," Tasha said weakly sitting on the bed with a cup of water in her hand. He was speechless, he just stared at her as he moved closer slowly. It was like a dream, finally, all his prayers has been answered. He took the cup out of her hand, dragged her up and hugged her tightly.
Tasha was shocked. What was happening?, how can he hug her. How can the Almighty Gusty be hugging her, she thought. Something was wrong with him and he was looking pale, like he just came out of a freezing pool.
"I was sacred shitless," Gusty murmured as he disentangled and kissed her full on the lips.
Tasha pushed him away and stared at him shocked. She was surprised and scared to find herself in his room, on his bed. And he comes in, excited to see her out of coma and kisses her?. Something was definitely wrong. This wasn't the Gusty she knew, the Gusty she knows will either make a rude remark, or be rough with her. Jeesh, what in heavens name is happening?, she wondered.
Gusty looked at her for some seconds and sighed tiredly.
"I'm just glad you're out of your damn coma. It was becoming frustrating, don't let it get to your head" he said dryly.
"Jeez, I just came out of coma," she said sarcastically. He hasn't changed at all she thought as she sat on the bed.
Gusty stared at her and shook his head. He was really tired, exhausted. He felt like a log of wood and he needed to sleep badly. Since Tasha's coma, he hasn't had a good sleep and now she was out, he felt like getting on the bed and sleeping forever.
But still, he couldn't deny the fact he was happy, so happy that he felt like shouting it to the whole world but he would gouge his eyes out before he would do that.
Tasha closed her eyes as she laid on the bed, she was exhausted, it was as if all her energy were drained from her body. She sighed spent and hugged her pillow tightly.
Her pillows?, this wasn't her pillow, it wasn't even her room, she jerked up immediately feeling uncomfortable, she got out of the bed and hurried to the door.
"Where do you think you're going to?"
His voice stilled her, she had completely forgotten he was in the room. She turned slowly not knowing what to say.
"Where are you going?," Gusty asked again, an amused expression on his face.
"To my room"
"And may I ask why?"
"No"
He cocked his head and stared at her. They stared at each other silently then he sighed and when he spoke, his voice was soft.
"Get to the bed"
" No"
"Excuse me"
"I can't stay in the same room with you"
" Why?" Gusty asked as he folded his hands and sat down on the bed. Tasha shrugged uncomfortably as he stared at her.
"You'll murder me" She said pouting her lips. Gusty burst into laughter and Tasha smiled, some of the tension eased from her. This was the first time she has ever heard him laugh, and he looked so cute, his face relaxed.
"I won't, you have my word, I won't even touch you, but get it, you'll stay here until you're fully recovered" he said as he got up from the bed and Tasha had no choice than to agree. He walked to the door, stared at her for some minutes and left.
Tasha peeped through a crack in the door, Zana was the only one guarding the door. Perhaps, Rony followed Gusty out. She sighed and breathed deeply. She preferred Zana to Rony, he was cool to her and even call her Miss but Rony wasn't, he was mean and cold hearted, rarely smiles, was always serious. She walked to the table and drank the remaining water left in the cup. She was actually thirsty, as she walked to the bed, she began to cough continuously, she fell down and continued coughing. The door opened and Zana rushed to her.
"Miss are you alright?," he asked as he carried her to the bed. She nodded and covered herself with the duvet.
"I'm ok..ay, just wa...te..r, more water, plea...se,"
He gave it to her and she gulped it down in a minute, she calmed down a bit but she was so weak. Damn!, how she hated those girls. Those mother fucking jealous bitches.
"Thank you" she said to him, he smiled and patted her head like a little child. Just then Gusty came in, Mrs Favour, his friends and Lily followed behind. Lily ran to her and hugged her tightly.
"Oh Tasha, i'm so so sorry, I shouldn't have left you all alone"
"It's okay, it's not your fault and besides, you're snuffing the life out of me" Tasha whimpered.
"Oh, sorry " Lily said and released her, they smiled at each other soothingly.
"How are you feeling Tasha Adele?," As she got closer to her and examined her.
"I'm okay Ma, just that I'm so weak" Tasha said as she sat up. She raised her eyes to look at Gusty but he wasn't where he was earlier with his friends. They were gone, she looked around surprised, when did they leave?.
"I'll give you a tablet of sleeping meds, so you'll be able to sleep very well and wake up feeling refreshed. Okay?," Mrs Favour said as she brought out the drugs from her handbag.
"No, I don't"
"What don't you understand?"
"Doesn't sleeping meds have negative effects?" Tasha asked as she took the medicine from her.
"This one doesn't, it's specially made for people suffering from insomnia, even though you aren't, it'll be of great help"Mrs Favour explained.
"Cool" Tasha said as she swallowed the medicine. Within seconds, she was sound asleep.
"This drug sure do work fast" Mrs Favour muttered as she covered her with the duvet and left.
Lily sat down beside her, stroking her hair softly when Zana came in.
"You have to leave ma'am"
"I'm with my friend" Lily snapped.
"I know miss, but my boss ordered me not to let anyone inside his room apart from Mrs favour and his friends, sadly you're none of those, so you have to leave" he said as he moved closer to her.
"No,I won't go" Lily said aggressively.
"I may have to drag you miss and it wouldn't be nice" Zana said with a tone of warning. Lily sighed and stood up.
"Fine" she said as she stood up, hissed at him and left slamming the door.
"Ladies" Zana chuckled as he went outside to guard the door.
"So?" Bose asked Gusty. They were all at the canteen drinking to Tasha's recovery. Gusty dangled his drink smiling.
"Would you stop smiling now, you're giving me the creeps" Munchy said exasperated and they burst into laughter.
