Gu Mansion
Gu Yanjing and Qiao Yuxian had dinner at the Gu Mansion.
When Qiao went to help wash the fruit, Old Sir Gu looked at Gu Yanjing, and poked his shoe with a cane, saying, "You should have given a heads-up. It's so awkward for Yu Xian to run into their family."
"I told her you wanted to see her tonight, that's why we came," Gu Yanjing said calmly.
Old Sir Gu's eyes widened, "What do you mean?"
"Just what you understood," Gu Yanjing replied.
What he understood?
He understood it to mean that Qiao Yuxian would think he deliberately let her run into their family.
"I'm the biological grandfather," Old Sir Gu said.
Gu Yanjing paused and replied, "Doesn't look like it."
"You..." Old Sir Gu was about to raise his cane to hit, but Qiao Yuxian came out with the fruit.
He put down the cane, got up, and quickly walked over to Qiao Yuxian.
Gu Yanjing squinted slightly at Old Sir Gu.
