Kaito ran into the woods from the south house area with Hiro. They thought about splitting up, but Hiro could easily lose her scent since he hadn't claimed her yet. The only link he had with her was through the mind bond Kaito helped him create. Because of his powers, Hiro could connect minds, and that was how he able to connect with Angela when he got shot months back.
"Angela!" Hiro called, his voice breaking with hope, but there was only silence. It was as if she had shut him out completely.
Kaito moved deeper into the woods, searching from one end to another. Anger burned inside him. He fell right into the trap the principal had set. It was so perfectly planned that none of them saw it coming. Poor Angela.
