Angela kept pacing around the room, moving back and forth as if it would somehow solve everything. No matter how much she tried to stay calm, her heart kept racing.
If it had been months ago, she would have been worried about her mates, but now it was different. Now she was pregnant. It was her baby that mattered most.

"You need to calm down. I am trying to make sure this message of war remains just a message and not something worse," Kaito broke the silence. He hated seeing her like this and almost wished he had not told her.
But he knew Angela would have found out later, and then it would have been worse.
"Don't act like we don't have a problem… Grace declared me dead, Kaito," she said, her voice barely coming out through gritted teeth. "I am going to tear that woman apart when I see her."
