"Did you manage to dodge?"
Roland, hiding behind a black rock, asked softly, still shaken. He dared not stick his head out, afraid of being discovered by the pursuers.
"No, they're coming," Sofia replied, her tone calm with a hint of eagerness.
"What's going on?" Roland asked with a frown.
With only the two of them, he had no issues. It was obviously Sofia who had a problem.
"I waved them over and pointed the direction," she said.
Roland: "..."
What can I say?
He could only sigh, gritting his teeth as he grabbed his Scepter and stood up.
"Roland, go!" Sofia was filled with excitement.
Roland stared at the approaching enemies, feeling a tinge of cold fear as he sensed the terrifying aura pervading from them.
Years of battle had honed his instincts to a frightening degree; he could clearly perceive these were formidable opponents.
He stepped back, intending to retreat behind Sofia to cheer, only to collide hard into Sofia's tall form.
