A few days later, Mason Nightshade set up a special network connection for Aurelia Shaw so she could go online.
The first thing Aurelia did was send a message to Alaric Wood.
That message landed in Mason Nightshade's hands almost instantly.
His subordinate asked Mason Nightshade how they should handle it.
Mason Nightshade glanced at the message, waved his hand, and didn't intercept it.
Unless absolutely necessary, he didn't really want to interfere with her.
After sending Alaric Wood the message, Aurelia had been planning to surf the web for a while, but a message from Caspian Parker suddenly popped up.
Aurelia was puzzled.
Her brother hadn't contacted her for a long time, but he was often out performing. He'd been on tour recently and hadn't had time to get in touch. That was normal.
Aurelia tapped open the message, and froze.
"Aurelia, something's happened. Come back."
Caspian Parker rarely ever texted her; he didn't like sending messages.
