Emily Stewart looked haggard, her eyes red and swollen; it seemed as if she had lost a lot of weight overnight, her wrinkled clothes hanging loosely on her frame.
Stopping in front of her, Mason Nightshade gazed at her coldly, devoid of any emotion in his eyes, "You should know what I want to find out."
Emily Stewart remained silent.
"Today, the butler Nolan Lawson attempted to kill Aurelia Shaw." Mason Nightshade's lips curled coldly, "Considering that he has served the Nightshade Family for so many years, I didn't do anything drastic to him. But the way he's dealt with entirely depends on you; I won't leave a dangerous person roaming free—you should understand that."
Emily's eyes widened suddenly, "Mason, Uncle Nolan was just too anxious; as a father, he was simply heartbroken over his son. He's served the Nightshade Family for years—what's wrong with avenging his son? Are you going to strike so cruelly against an elder who has cared for you since childhood, just for a woman?"
