Mason Nightshade's jawline tightened, and he didn't respond to Grayson Quinn's words. Suddenly, his dark pupils flashed, and he lunged down into the grass below, pinning a man to the ground. Before the man could react, Mason had snapped his neck.
He tossed the gun to Grayson Quinn, his swift silhouette disappearing into the night like a phantom.
The mission was complete.
Mason held a stoic expression as he listened to his subordinate's report.
"Report to the Major General, all terrorists have been apprehended. Seven were captured, and the rest were killed..."
The soldier trembled inside, wondering if he had said something wrong or done something incorrect. Why did the Major General's face look so grim? Could someone come give him a punch, please? He'd rather fight the terrorists than report to the Major General!
