"Mason, there's one more thing." Grayson Quinn hesitated for a moment before continuing, "How should we deal with that Matthew Xenos? He said he got a call from an unknown number this morning urging him to do it. I checked, but couldn't trace the phone. However… the caller specifically targeted Aurelia. This was likely done to get at her, but it's also possible the real target is you, and so the focus shifted to her."
Mason Nightshade's identity has offended many enemies. It's not surprising if people are out to kill him. Usually, he has people secretly protecting him, but he never expected that even though his relationship with Aurelia Shaw was kept so well hidden, someone still found out.
