Most people here were busy with their tasks.
They looked exhausted and in poor health, but the place seemed relatively peaceful.
"How many people are here, twenty thousand?"
"Nineteen thousand." Peter replied.
"Of them, six hundred are soldiers, and two hundred are considered police. They don't participate in combat but maintain order, acting as guards when we are short-staffed."
"How did you end up here?"
"I used to work here." Peter replied with a weary sigh,
then began to tell his story:
This nuclear power plant was originally built to oppose a major country.
Germany took a great risk on this project and completed it in just six months.
A Russian private military company was hired to handle security, and Peter worked for that company.
But things quickly went wrong. They were first attacked by 'terrorists,' then a group of environmentalists tried to cause another Chernobyl incident.
