Chapter 34 - Chapter 34: [Wenster Typewriter]

...

The series of consecutive hits finally stopped after hitting eighteen times.

It was simply a storm of continuous shots.

Virel went from initial shock to becoming mesmerized, wondering what kind of gun this was.

How could it be fired like this?

This was utterly a genius design.

He could fully praise it out loud.

But at that moment, he just stood there, somewhat entranced, looking at the bullet holes, smelling the gunpowder.

Even the echo of the shell casing hitting the ground was so pleasant.

A good gun indeed.

Previously, Virel did not understand why the magazine had to be so large, filled with up to thirty rounds, which clearly seemed cumbersome.

Now he understood, this gun could fire continuously like a thunderstorm.

He could already imagine how helpless his enemies would be under the suppression of this gun.

However, Ethan was still dissatisfied because it jammed, and he couldn't shoot all thirty rounds at once.

This might be a workmanship issue, or perhaps a design flaw; he wasn't sure yet.

But he just thought of a point, which was that the magazine could be improved. In his previous life's design plans, he overlooked that this type of submachine gun was mostly belt-fed with coiled drum magazines, which could further increase the ammunition capacity to up to fifty or even a hundred rounds, and the jamming rate seemed to decrease.

Putting down the gun, Ethan felt his palms heating, more importantly, he felt as if his entire body and the 'True God's Name' were also heating up.

This heat generated from the moment he started shooting, which he initially thought was an illusion, but now it seemed not.

"Sir, this gun is incredible..."

Virel finally spoke, taking a step forward, and said.

"There are still many deficiencies. I will draw an improved blueprint later for another trial." Ethan handed the gun back to Virel.

Virel thought it was already perfect, but since the young master said so, there must be a reason.

"Sir, I think once improved, this gun can be mass-produced. If we have such weapons, we wouldn't fear anyone."

"Of course, it needs to be mass-produced. You have the opportunity to bring the craftsmen you know to meet me, I need enough manpower." Ethan was already considering where to place the factory for mass production, the art factory seemed like a good choice as there was still quite a bit of space there.

"By the way, sir, give this gun a name. It's a great work and will absolutely be recorded in history." Virel was quite excited.

He loved guns, and there were only a few things in this world that could excite him so much.

"Let's call it... Wenster Typing Machine." Ethan thought for a moment and suddenly showed a somewhat playful smile.

"Wenster Typing Machine, good name, very fitting." Virel thought of Ethan's rapid fire earlier, sounding so much like a typewriter's clattering.

It was also after saying this name that Ethan suddenly felt the 'True God's Name' trembling more intensely, he even felt a slight intoxication reminiscent of when he killed Joan.

He couldn't help but cover his forehead.

Anya immediately noticed Ethan's unusual state, quickly stepped forward to support him, and asked, "Sir, are you alright?"

"I'm fine, I'm a bit tired, take me home."

Virel hurriedly helped support Ethan as well, and the two of them got him into the car.

In the car, that slight intoxication became more intense; he leaned back in the seat, seemingly half-awake, and sank into a deep ocean again.

He saw the 'True God's Name'. The 'True God's Name' sprouted like a twig, growing a new part from its deep, dark body, this part extended like a vine, finally undulating to outline a new line of text.

Equally obscure and cryptic, difficult to understand, but Ethan naturally understood its meaning.

The Master of Guns and Bullets.

Once the text took shape, it stopped undulating, turning into a deep iron-gray, the color of guns and bullets.

Ethan instantly sobered up.

The night outside the window was also fleeting, and the manor hadn't been reached yet.

He took a deep breath and called forth the 'True God's Name'.

As expected, right below the deep dark purple text 'Instigator and Protector of Violence', there was a vine-like connection, and a line of new iron-gray text 'Master of Guns and Bullets'.

What... is this?

Is it because he designed that submachine gun, successfully trial-manufactured it, and finally named it, that he obtained a new true name?

Or rather, this isn't considered a new true name, it's just a subsidiary authority under his 'Instigator and Protector of Violence'?

After all, from the visible perspective he could see, 'Instigator and Protector of Violence' still occupied the largest space, while 'Master of Guns and Bullets' was just a small subordinate existence like a tendril.

Nevertheless, the change had already happened; he could feel the presence of guns on him, and also sense the presence of guns on Anya, even knowing her gun was fully loaded.

"Anya, do you feel anything?"

Anya, as his subordinate named entity under the 'True God's Name', should also be able to feel something after the entity's change.

"What?" Anya was a little puzzled, but she quickly said, "It seems... my shooting skills have improved, I don't know why..."

This must be it.

This is the interconnected change.

"Let's talk about it after we get home first."

Other changes would need further experiments to clarify.

The Klaus Long Spear arrived swiftly at Bolita Manor.

Ethan and Anya went to the basement of the manor.

Similar to Virel Tavern, Bolita Manor also had a basement shooting range, but it simply didn't have as many guns as in Virel's place.

Ethan stood in front of the target, mulling over his newly acquired authority; he didn't pull out a gun himself but rather let Anya do it.

"Shoot, focus all your attention."

"Yes." Anya held her breath, focused, then fired.

With a 'bang', Anya missed the target.

This surprised even Anya herself.

She couldn't help but glance at the gun in her hand.

"Don't worry, it's not your problem, it's mine." Ethan just issued a command at the moment Anya fired, making this shot miss the target.

As expected, Anya didn't hit the target.

Anya, also a named entity, found the strength of this newly acquired authority far stronger than Ethan had imagined.

"Keep shooting, one more time."

Ethan thought of another experiment, letting Anya try once more.

Although Anya was slightly affected by the previous missed shot, she opened fire again without hesitation.

After all, it was the young master's command.
