Seven years ago, Mu Qinglan had met Mrs. Lu.
After seven years, meeting this lady again, Mu Qinglan only felt that she was even more intimidating than before.
In the small villa's living room, Mu Qinglan stood with her hands clasped in front of her, head bowed low, not daring to breathe audibly, or raise her eyes to look at Mrs. Lu even once.
Mrs. Lu curled her lips, yet there wasn't a hint of a smile. Her slender fingers lifted the cup for a sip and then set it down again.
"Are you very nervous? Afraid of me?" Mrs. Lu lifted her eyes, smiling but not smiling.
"No, not really..." Mu Qinglan's nervous body trembled slightly.
"Hmph." Mrs. Lu sneered indifferently, "Do you know why I've come to see you?"
"Uh..." Mu Qinglan slowly lifted her head, looking bewildered, "No, I don't know."
Mrs. Lu stared at her intently, as if trying to find a flaw in her answer, but Mu Qinglan simply appeared very fearful.
