Kenneth Osborne couldn't possibly decline Aiden Sheldon's invitation.
With a figure of such caliber, even listening to him talk casually can be incredibly enlightening.
Kenneth immediately nodded, "Alright, I'm coming right away. Please wait a moment."
He hung up the phone and said to Caitlin Gilbert, "Miss Gilbert, Mr. Sheldon has some business to discuss with me. I'll go and see him."
He nodded at Caitlin Gilbert, and turned back around.
Caitlin wanted to ask which Mr. Sheldon he meant, but Kenneth had already walked away.
While she was concerned about her father's match, she was also drawn to Kenneth's charm. Ultimately, she stomped her foot before heading back to the hall.
She knew she couldn't push Kenneth too hard; she had to "proceed slowly." Otherwise, if their relationship became strained, there would truly be no opportunity left.
By the time she returned to Mr. Gilbert and Olivia Gilbert, she had composed herself.
