"Ah?! No way! Mom! It's New Year's Eve today!" Ryan Sheldon exclaimed, trying to get his mom to change her mind.
But Autumn Stetford smiled elegantly, showing no sign of relenting.
"Ryan, your father and I taught you from a young age that when heaven is about to bestow a great responsibility on someone, it first tests their resolve. It's just one night without dinner, what does it matter if it's New Year's Eve?"
Autumn Stetford gently waved her hand, and two men came in and forcibly took Ryan away.
From the moment Autumn spoke until Ryan was taken away, Aiden Sheldon didn't show any reaction.
Only after everyone had left did he nod and say to Autumn, "A loving mother often raises a spoiled child. Luckily, you're not a loving mother."
Autumn laughed and said, "Being too soft-hearted with our son would be like handing ourselves over to the enemy. I certainly won't make a losing deal like that."
