The secretary hurriedly said, "I'll go take a look."
She turned towards the technical department and saw that all the rooms were empty, including Thomas's office.
She hurried back to report, "No, Thomas isn't over there."
"What the hell!" the CEO of Victory Wise was on the verge of going crazy, "Where could he have gone at a time like this?!"
He looked up Thomas's phone number and started calling him.
He dialed again and again, nearly ten times before Thomas's phone was finally answered.
Thomas's cheerful voice came through, "Oh? It's our CEO, what's up that you called me?"
The CEO of Victory Wise said nervously, "Mr. Stewart, I just received a call saying that our Technical Director, Joyce Shaw, has just died in a car accident!"
"Ah?! What?! No way! My God! How could this happen?! I don't believe it! I can't believe it! He was such a good employee! — This is a loss for our company! A huge loss! Oh my, God! Can we even find such a good employee to replace him?!"
