Lawrence Winters happily put away the contract, stood up and said, "Thank you so much, Edward. I really enjoyed chatting with you today, and I hope we have the chance to work together in the future."
"Absolutely! I also enjoyed chatting with you, and I hope you'll accept our company's offer!"
Edward Foster cheerfully escorted Lawrence Winters all the way to the first floor of the building.
Lawrence Winters walked out of the elevator, waved at him, and said, "Edward, there's no need to see me off further. I don't want to keep you from your work."
"No trouble at all, no trouble at all." Edward still wanted to follow her out of the elevator, but Lawrence pushed him back inside and pressed the upward button.
The elevator doors closed swiftly.
Edward Foster stared at the elevator doors in surprise, and after a moment, he pressed the button for the twenty-eighth floor.
