Considering I'm currently researching teletransportation arrays, I'm sensitive to runes.
Though the mysteries of teleportation aren't fully cracked yet, several runes have been deciphered—one of which we use for classical channels.
I've studied the array in front of the main hall, especially its runes.
Though the majority of the runes are unclear, some resemble those in the teletransportation array.
Odds are those are runes for "information" transmission.
So I personally guess that array is likely where the spiritual energy appears."
