The worry on Old Xu's face caught Derek and Demmi's attention. The two instinctively leaned by the window, curiously peering out. Just one glance, and Derek hopelessly ran his hand through his hair.
"How could this happen... It's over now! We're completely done for! There's no way that iron fence can hold back the pushing of Zombies. Once it collapses, we'll have no escape."
Old Xu certainly understood Derek's words. He was currently very anxious and really had no patience to listen to Derek complain.
But no matter what, this situation started because of him, and if it weren't for their intervention, the young people wouldn't have ended up in such a dire position.
So...
"Little Derek, don't panic yet; things haven't reached the worst point. We've just reinforced the iron door, so the Zombies can't get in for a while."
Old Xu hoped to reassure the agitated Derek as much as possible, but Derek wasn't a fool; he knew the severity of the current situation as clearly as a mirror.
