"Waa—!"
A baby burst into tears in fright at the roaring threat.
"Baby, don't cry, don't cry."
The young mother holding the baby turned pale, her whole body trembling.
She knew the child wasn't just scared into crying; that was only part of the reason.
The more important reason was: It was exactly feeding time.
The desert night was particularly cold, and the temporary camp tent was nowhere near as warm as a real house.
If the baby wasn't fed, it wouldn't have enough energy to get through the freezing night!
So the young mother had to coax the baby while gritting her teeth, unbuttoning her clothes, and turning to go back into the tent to breastfeed.
"Stop right there!!"
