Chapter 31 - Chapter 31: A Little More

Mage Fang Ka led the players into the Divine Hall, glanced around, and nodded in satisfaction.

The aesthetic taste of these players is top-notch, no doubt about it.

Except for that throne, which looks a bit juvenile...

He withdrew his gaze from the throne and stepped down the stairs to the Holy Pool and said, "This will be your place to receive blessings from now on."

Immediately, a pop-up appeared for the players present: "The secret vault is now officially open, and Blood Pool Enhancement can now be redeemed."

The players were taken aback, and Mr. Zhou whispered to Grandpa Qian of Bone-Touching, "This game is really detailed; turns out this Divine Hall is for us to use."

"I originally thought it was a place for Mage Fang Ka to bathe."

"Turns out it was built for us! Feels like I really scored big on this."

Grandpa Qian glanced at Fang Ka next to the Holy Pool and said, "Indeed, very detailed. So even if you had enough points and coins before, you couldn't redeem enhancements because there was no place to use them..."

"No wonder the announcement said pre-open; it seems it only officially opens when conditions are met. This game's details are impeccable."

"I wonder if the shop system is officially open yet? What if we can't redeem the Meditation Skill?"

Mr. Zhou grinned, "They should be handing out the group task rewards soon. By then, I should have enough coins to redeem the Meditation Skill, so I'll give it a try in a bit."

The Caged Parrot behind them suddenly poked its head over, "So if the Holy Pool isn't for Mage Fang Ka to bathe in, but for us, where does Mage Fang Ka usually bathe?"

"I'm sure Wangzai Little Buns would be very interested."

Mr. Zhou gave the Caged Parrot a speechless look, "You really didn't need to add that last part; it's like saying, 'I have a friend...'. "

"I advise you not to court disaster..."

"Besides, I think either there's a place to bathe in the Ancient Castle, or there's some cleansing magic; the chances of bathing outside are slim."

"I'm sure Wangzai Little Buns would be very disappointed to know this," sighed the Caged Parrot.

Standing next to the Caged Parrot, Iron Black Pot nudged the Parrot and grinned, "Parrot, don't stir up trouble while Xiao Mantou isn't around, okay? You also don't want Xiao Mantou to know this, right..."

The Caged Parrot kicked Iron Black Pot in the leg, "You better shut your mouth."

At this point, Fang Ka also distributed the task pool rewards among the players.

Mr. Zhou received the most.

He got 2 Silver Coins, 200 experience, and 200 points.

That's nearly half of the total reward for one person.

However, this was understandable.

Firstly, Mr. Zhou single-handedly drafted the building plans, and secondly, he single-handedly guided and led the construction and house structure.

Moreover, he only logged off once a day, and it wasn't for long, practically online all day long.

This kind of hard worker definitely deserves this reward.

The players each received their allocated rewards, all beaming with joy.

Grandpa Qian nudged Mr. Zhou with his shoulder, "Xiao Zhou, how much reward did you get? Must be quite a bit, huh?"

Mr. Zhou chuckled, "Not bad, a bit more than I expected."

"Everything else is fine; the most important thing is that I've leveled up to Level 2!"

Grandpa Qian's eyes lit up, "You've leveled up to 2? Any significant changes?"

Mr. Zhou hesitated a bit, then continued, "The experience bar cap increased to 200. I think it's proportional to the level, like Level 3's cap is 300, Level 4 is 400, and so on."

"I suppose you noticed from the start, Mr. Qian? The game's level and power have no direct association; instead, it's a separate setting."

"From current observations, it seems it's related to tasks."

"After all, the tasks we took before were clearly marked as Level 1 tasks."

"Now that I've reached Level 2, it suggests I can take on Level 2 tasks."

"Rewards from Level 2 tasks are certainly higher than Level 1s, no doubt."

"It's somewhat like a snowball effect; the faster you level up, the better the rewards you receive early on, and you can use those rewards to enhance your power."

"The level setting remains important but doesn't directly enhance individual strength, avoiding that systematic fantasy of leveling up equaling strength, instead enhancing authenticity."

"Combined with the realistic game scenes and various realistic details, it's just amazing."

"I must admit, this dog-like planner is impressive, got to give them a thumbs up. Surely, the game company spent quite a bit to hire them."

"Mr. Qian, hang on a minute; I have enough coins now. I'm going to see Mage Fang Ka to try redeeming the Meditation Skill."

Grandpa Qian patted Mr. Zhou's shoulder, "Alright, I'm waiting for your good news."

Mr. Zhou quickly walked over to Mage Fang Ka, sporting a smile he assumed was charming, "Mage Fang Ka, do you think I could learn the Meditation Skill?"

Hearing Mr. Zhou's words, Mage Fang Ka wasn't surprised in the slightest. If Zhou had enough coins to redeem the Meditation Skill, what would be surprising is if he didn't come to do it.

Fang Ka nodded slightly and said in a slow tone, "Of course, my loyal subordinate, you now qualify to learn the Meditation Skill. I hope you can become a true Mage."

After Fang Ka's words, a message popped up before Mr. Zhou.

"You've acquired the content related to the Meditation Skill, please comprehend it on your own."

"You've automatically received a unique Level 2 task, Magic Beginning."

"Level 2 unique task (Magic Beginning): Become the first player to embark on the magic journey."

"Task rewards: 2 Silver Coins, 20 experience, 20 points, official opening of the shop system."

"Note: Please be aware that if another player becomes the first Mage before you, the task fails, the reward is canceled, and the shop is opened simultaneously."

The purpose of issuing this task was naturally to motivate Mr. Zhou, to encourage him to quickly master magic and become a true mage.

It also serves as a positive example for other players, showing them that being obedient and diligent yields rewards.

Fang Ka himself took a week to grasp magic power;

But that's because he didn't have direction, relying entirely on self-exploration.

But Mr. Zhou is different; Fang Ka's given Meditation Skill content includes his personal insights and notes.

If Mr. Zhou dedicates the effort and contemplation, it shouldn't take long before he officially steps into the realm of magic.
