Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Keep Going

As his thoughts slightly turned, Fang Ka prepared to summon four more Undead Skeletons.

He had previously returned to the Underground Book Collection, using the Magic Array set up by Kain there, to fully restore his Mana.

According to his current Mana, he could perform the 'Necromancy Skeleton Skill' four times.

However, the Soul Master-Servant Contract required a certain amount of Spiritual Power to maintain.

To put it simply, it occupied some of the Spiritual Power, essentially fixing this small part, making it unusable elsewhere.

As a Transmigrator, his Spiritual Power was much stronger than the average person, about more than twice as much.

This was quite normal, after all, he was an ordinary person in his previous life, nothing too outlandish.

Adding the Mental Power he gained through the Meditation Method Kain left behind this week, reaching the level of a Mage Apprentice, he could now maintain about twenty-five Soul Master-Servant Contracts.

Which means, he could now manage to collect 25 'crops' for harvesting.

'Necromancy Skeleton Skill,' as a Low-Level Necromancy, only involved a Soul Contract without a Soul Mark, theoretically allowing for endless summoning as long as Spiritual Power continued to grow.

Unlike Advanced Necromancy, which adds Soul Marks to the Soul Contract, posing limitations.

Fang Ka once asked Kain why this was the case, and Kain's answer was that it related to the rules of the Netherworld.

Slightly restraining his thoughts, Fang Ka headed towards the castle.

Directly beneath the castle was Kain's Underground Book Collection, while behind the castle lay the various corpses Kain collected from his outings.

He found it too oppressive there before, so he took one of the corpses to the beach to practice the 'Necromancy Skeleton Skill' until he succeeded.

Upon reaching behind the castle, Fang Ka activated a mechanism, causing the stone slab on the ground to slowly open, revealing a descending spiral staircase.

The inside was lined with dim candles, giving it an extremely eerie ambiance.

Fang Ka proceeded all the way to the bottom.

This was a rather expansive underground space, haphazardly stacked with various bones, not just human, but also Elf, and Dwarf.

Apparently, Kain took the most pleasure in wandering through the territories of these races when he was alive.

From various tomes, Fang Ka learned that this world had a great many races, far more than just these few.

Gazing at the scattered corpses, Fang Ka pondered: "Should I try the 'Necromancy Skeleton Mage Skill'?"

The 'Necromancy Skeleton Mage Skill' was also created by Kain, similar to the 'Necromancy Skeleton Skill,' but slightly more challenging.

The 'Necromancy Skeleton Mage Skill' required the corpse of a deceased Mage, and the corpse must not have been dead for more than a year.

According to Kain, after a Mage's death, the Demon Source remains for a period of time, which is capped at a year.

This spell awakens a Necromancer, which can also be fortified with potions, but can simultaneously practice meditation to become a Mage. However, they are bound by the Soul Master-Servant Contract, with Spiritual Power and Magic Power limits not surpassing Fang Ka's.

Each tier of a Mage is divided into Entry Level, Advancement, and Perfection. Breaking through each level requires reaching limits in Spiritual Power and Magic Power, granting a minor qualitative transformation.

This means, if some 'crops' get lucky, they could engage in 'Magic and Martial Arts Dual Cultivation.'

Of course, the price and effort required would surely be far more terrifying.

Every time Kain returned from gathering materials, he would hand the bodies to Fang Ka, instructing him to store them in this chamber.

At this moment, Fang Ka felt grateful for not having sloppy habits; he placed the skeletons in chronological order during each arrangement.

This made it easy to differentiate the past year's corpses.

As for determining whether the skeletons once belonged to Mages, it was somewhat troublesome; he needed to utilize Magic to investigate each one. If a Demon Source existed, Magic Waves would be perceived.

The corpses from the past year numbered over a hundred, which was substantial work.

Quickly, Fang Ka began to move.

Eventually, he selected two skeletons.

One was a female Elf, the other a male human.

Both skeletons had undergone special treatments, so despite their stench, they were not decayed.

Nevertheless, it didn't matter as the successful casting of Fang Ka's Magic would dissolve their flesh, leaving only skeletal frames.

This wasn't due to Kain having any malicious pleasure in creating the spells.

It was because bones were stronger and had a higher affinity with alchemy potions, making them better for enhancement.

Fang Ka casually selected two more skeletons, then threw the two Mage skeletons over his shoulders, dragging the other two with his hands as he headed outside.

The reason for taking them outside was Fang Ka's desire to keep his 'little secret' hidden from the 'crops.' He also didn't want them waking up to a field of corpses.

Upon exiting, sealing the entrance, Fang Ka carried the four skeletons to the front of the castle.

Afterwards, he first used Magic to construct the 'Necromancy Skeleton Skill's Magic Pattern, then resonated with it using his Spiritual Power.

The 'Necromancy Skeleton Skill' succeeded, and soon, two Undead Skeletons stood beside him.

The 'Necromancy Skeleton Mage Skill' was much harder; after a dozen attempts, Fang Ka finally grasped the construction and resonance amplitude of the Magic Pattern, gradually awakening two Necromancers.

Seeing the four dazed Skeletons before him, Fang Ka broke into a smile and entered the network to post an update announcement.

"With this update, we optimized the weather system for a more realistic climate experience, optimized the biological systems by adding more creatures with richer actions and expressions, and opened closed beta slots for five players."

After finishing the announcement, where only the last line was crucial, Fang Ka directly pushed its content to the forefront of Lu Yun's view.

Firstly, to enhance game immersion, secondly, to not waste the content he painstakingly 'crafted,' and thirdly, to inform the counterpart that this would no longer be his private server; they needed to double their efforts.

At this moment, Lu Yun, who was gathering resources, was stunned by the sudden announcement next to the game panel.

After reading the announcement, he smacked his lips slightly: "They're opening four more slots already? That's a bit fast. Also, this game doesn't even have an inventory, so gathering herbs requires tying them with vines, which feels a bit over-realistic?"

"This Ghostly Spinach grows sparsely. I've gathered just over halfway... Keep it up, keep it up, aim to complete the task before new players go online, then flaunt this efficiency in front of them, showing them what it means to be the fastest."

He strode forward with the bundled Ghostly Spinach.

Meanwhile, four new players appeared before Fang Ka.

He had sneakily placed his game in an easily found yet not overly conspicuous spot on the platform.

Players who found it would likely have some patience and a thirst for discovery.

Such players were exactly what he needed now.

The desire to enter the game was high, as the player base on the Steam Platform was truly vast.

Fang Ka used his ability to selectively filter important player information. Those assigned to the Skeleton Mages averaged over 12 hours of daily gameplay.

Definitely gamers through and through.

The Skeleton Mage was special, requiring meditation practice to increase Magic Power and Spiritual Power.

This demanded a significant time investment.

It had to be those who were online for long periods and could exercise patience.

At this moment, the four new players were overwhelmed with awe by the realistic scene before them, each unable to contain their excitement.
