The raging sandstorm had been blowing over the Northern Lands for seven days.
Over seventy percent of the Northern Lands were covered by a layer of yellow sand, adding some color to this land which is covered with pure white snow all year round.
But contrary to this seemingly poetic description, the yellow sand brought endless death.
The ecological environment, slowly formed over countless years in the Northern Lands, is extremely fragile, and simply cannot withstand such external agitation.
To avoid the erosion of the yellow sand, large numbers of polar animals were forced to migrate northward, falling along the way as they fled from the natural disaster, leaving behind tens of thousands of corpses.
Moreover, under the intervention of some external force, those corpses began to decompose at an astonishing speed in the severe cold, turning into corpses walking on the icy plains covered with yellow sand.
