The smile on Bishop Laila's face remained the same upon hearing this, but there wasn't much delight in her eyes.
She shook her head and said, "Sorry, I can't think of anything I need your help with."
As an Elf Bishop with great power and a high status in the Church, she had no material desires.
She couldn't imagine what the other party could use to impress her.
"If you want to seek help from the Ice and Snow Goddess Church, feel free to say so directly, no need for such excuses."
In her view, Herbert's words were merely to pique her interest, and thereby elevate his status, making their conversation less passive.
But such pretenses were meaningless to Laila, far less satisfying than straightforward words.
"No, you are mistaken, we are not here seeking help."
Herbert shook his head in denial, looked at the seemingly gentle but actually proud elf, and smiled, "However, this is quite unexpected. Didn't you notice at all?"
"Notice what?"
