"What did he say to you?" Kai Bright asked nervously, "I'm telling you, Lucy, that Kellan Blake is not a good guy."
Just a short distance away, Kellan Blake stumbled and nearly fell.
"Speak quietly." Lucy Wells watched Kellan Blake's still-visible figure and gently reminded him, "Don't let him hear."
"It's fine, he can't hear from this distance." Kai Bright lied blatantly.
Kellan Blake remained silent.
He may not be as capable as Kai Bright, but from this distance, he could hear clearly.
Kai Bright did it on purpose, and he could vouch for it with his own integrity!
"Mr. Blake is actually quite nice, last time he even came along to save me." Lucy Wells wasn't someone to talk badly behind people's backs, so she defended Kellan Blake.
"I was the main force!" Kai Bright was adamant that his fiancée understand the difference—her man was truly reliable.
"I know, but you're my fiancé. He is just a stranger." Lucy's explanation alleviated a third of Kai Bright's jealousy.
