Sophie's thoughts seemed to be on a different frequency from hers.
"Mom?" Sophie Wilson felt something odd about Clarissa Taylor's silence on the other end of the line and couldn't help calling out.
"Sophie, aren't you worried about what the people at Peace Corporation might say about you behind your back?" Clarissa Taylor asked worriedly.
These kids are still too young and think too simply.
"Not at all." Sophie Wilson said indifferently, "If people in the company have something to say, they can go find another job. As for outsiders, what do they have to do with us?"
"Don't worry, Mom, no one dares to talk about us." Sophie Wilson laughed and reassured, the way she and Charles Seymour handled things was completely different from her parents.
"Mom, you should be careful lately." Sophie Wilson reminded, "Beware of Emerie Wilson causing you trouble, maybe you should stay away from the gallery for a while."
