Seeing Ophelia being so compliant, James Reed's attitude softened. The two chatted for quite a while, and only after James made Ophelia blush did he finally hang up the phone.
Charlotte Reed, having listened to the entire exchange, questioned disapprovingly, "Are you really going to bring her over?"
"How is that possible?" James Reed sneered. "It's not just us watching this New Year concert; some people might take action even faster than us."
"Who?" Charlotte asked curiously.
James Reed smirked coldly, "Old Mrs. Wilson—he can't afford to lose face like that."
