"But, speaking of it, Lucy, I'm surprised you stood up to Joshua Wright." Sophie was genuinely shocked—is this still the same old introverted Lucy Wells who had no opinions?
"I'm learning from you. I need to protect my mom and grandma too." Lucy said with a smile, her eyes curving, "Although I'm not as awesome as you yet, I'll keep working hard!"
"Keep it up, we'll work hard together!" Sophie laughed happily, seeing her good friend live more and more brilliantly, she felt genuinely happy.
"Don't worry, Sophie, I'm going to another city in a couple of days, I'll definitely sort out the branch office's issues." Lucy said with enthusiasm, then ran off to work with the sound of her high heels clacking.
