"I'm heading back first." Mason Wilson decided to retreat, staying here any longer would blind him.
This public display of affection was so dazzling; it was honestly the first time he'd ever seen something like this.
"Oh, goodbye, Dad..." After saying goodbye to Mason Wilson, Sophie Wilson turned to Charles Seymour and asked, puzzled, "Why do I feel like my dad... hmm, seems pretty down? Who upset him?"
Charles Seymour shook his head innocently; how would he know?
Mason Wilson wasn't Sophie; he didn't have time to guess Mason's thoughts.
"Is the company stuff really tough?" Sophie thought for a while and could only come up with this possibility.
"No, uncle is doing a great job," Charles said, carrying Sophie indoors; why stay outside in the courtyard? It's chilly.
"Then why is my dad feeling so low?" Sophie asked in confusion.
As the door closed, Charles Seymour's faint voice could be heard: "Maybe it's menopause."
