A dinner meeting lasting a full three hours finally brought the engagement negotiations to a rough agreement between the two families.
In the end, both families were quite satisfied, but when Old Mrs. Wilson returned home, she found Emerie was still there, and her face darkened immediately: "Why are you still here?"
"Dad, the issue with Sophie Wilson sending me a lawyer's letter hasn't been resolved yet," Emerie said angrily. "Do I really have to apologize in the newspapers? No way!"
Old Mrs. Wilson was almost driven mad with anger: "Haven't you caused enough trouble?"
What on earth was she thinking?
So many things happened today, and all she can think about is whether to apologize or not?
"Get out of my sight!" Old Mrs. Wilson yelled, pointing at the door. He didn't want to see her at all now!
"What are you doing? Why are you yelling at your daughter?" Old Mrs. Wilson wasn't having it, Emerie was her precious daughter, "Benjamin, take Emerie home first."
