"Some dorms even have teachers living there. This helps improve teacher-student relations quickly. Plus, Eastern students trust their teachers a lot, and being able to share a suite with them gives them a greater sense of security." Sean explained.
Shi Nian's room is a double, shared with a girl from Sichuan, China named Xue Ping. She's as passionate and straightforward as Sichuan peppers, so Shi Nian calls her "Spicy Girl."
After helping Shi Nian settle her luggage, Sean put his hand on Shi Nian's shoulder and sincerely said, "If you face any issues, come find me. Chinese Doll, I'll take care of you."
He had been helping her move her luggage and his hands were sweaty. His sweaty palms pressed onto her shoulder, the stickiness felt uncomfortable even through the fabric.
She held back carefully, bowed slightly, "Thank you, Sean."
Sean turned to leave, his gaze briefly floating over Spicy Girl's face.
