Xylia Xandrell pressed her lips tightly, her expression no longer as agitated as before, but her face remained cold.
The tenderness in her gaze towards Bella Green had vanished.
"Bella Green, I, Xylia Xandrell, have treated you well, I don't ask you to remember the good I did, I only ask you to have Mason Bennett spare my family."
Every word was recognizable to her, but strung together, Bella Green found herself unable to comprehend this statement.
"What does it have to do with Mason Bennett?" Bella Green stared at her intently, her voice growing increasingly somber.
Lily Johnson watched the increasingly strange atmosphere between the two sisters and became somewhat anxious, quickly trying to pull Xylia Xandrell away.
"What are you doing? Bella loaned you money with good intentions, why are you behaving like this?"
Lily Johnson was almost furious, knowing her daughter well enough. She couldn't even afford the interest for a day, let alone a million.
