Feeling down, Bella Green glanced subconsciously and saw the two talking happily. Her expression darkened as she turned her gaze away, and she stuffed a large bun into her mouth.
"I'll give you five bucks, and the extra fifty cents is charity for you."
With her mouth full, Bella grumbled defiantly.
Bryce Xavier looked at her speechlessly, unable to say a word.
Louis Lawrence couldn't hold back and burst out laughing.
The man casually dusted off his clean clothes, propping his elbow on the table, his eyes smiling charmingly like a fox or a demon.
"I gotta say, why's this bun got such a strong vinegar flavor?"
The man's teasing words left Bella momentarily stunned, utterly clueless.
Louis raised an eyebrow in the direction of Mason Bennett and the other person.
Only then did Bella realize, her face turning dark instantly as she stuffed the other bun, which was now misshapen from her grip, swiftly into Louis's mouth.
