Jasmine hadn't just met Liam Coldwell yesterday; she knew he was a decent person. But Jasmine seemed to respect Eva Nightingale's choices more.
He was definitely not some easy pushover.
Liam Coldwell had already planned to make his relationship with Eva public in the Z Country. Coming here now was just to inform Jasmine, so she could go back and tell Eva to come home early.
