After Cecilia left, the driver called back, saying she won't be back for dinner.
So, at dinner time, only Eva, Abigail, and Graham were at the table; Eva was with the two little ones.
"Mommy, where's Daddy?"
"He's busy and went abroad." She answered softly.
"Mommy, when will he be back?"
"About a week, I think." Eva was actually unsure.
Little Abigail blinked her eyes: "Mommy, when will you and Daddy get married?"
Married?
"Poof..." Eva almost spat out the hot food in her mouth! She looked at the little child, so young, but knowing about marriage.
Little Abigail's eager look made Eva feel a bit heartbroken.
She couldn't bring herself to reveal the truth.
If she did, who knows how sad they'd be?
"We're already married." Eva smiled and looked into the little one's eyes.
Little Abigail seemed a bit disappointed.
Graham sat opposite, propping his chin with his hands, watching Eva and Abigail, feeling he couldn't get a word in.
