"Order your damn sparks!" Who the hell wanted sparks with him? Besides, what was Liam Coldwell doing coming to her place all the time for no reason.
Eva Nightingale bypassed him and walked into the living room.
On the top-grade rosewood table sat a fine bottle of whiskey. Eva picked up a glass, took a light sip, and sat down on the sofa.
Every move she made was caught in his eyes; he watched so intently he couldn't bear to look away.
Eva of course knew he was staring, she just didn't know why Liam Coldwell was this persistent.
They say people speak the truth when they're drunk.
So she smiled. "Liam Coldwell, how about we switch it up a bit tonight? Drink with me. You in?"
She could hold her liquor pretty well. Liam, on the other hand, was the President, buried in work every day, always socializing and entertaining, so his tolerance was probably decent too.
Eva just wanted to get him drunk and pry some words out of him!!
