Yuki frowned.
"Are you really planning to work for Morrison for the rest of your life?"
Norton hesitated for a second, but chose honesty. He nodded.
"Yeah. That's the plan."
He had never thought about quitting. Never even considered changing paths.
Maybe he was the type who clung to the familiar, rigid and stubborn.
But at least he was loyal.
Yuki elegantly dabbed her lips with a napkin, then looked at him with a seductive smile.
"So, between me and Morrison... you're choosing Morrison?"
This time, Norton frowned.
"There's no comparison between the two of you. It's not a matter of choosing."
Yuki snorted lightly.
"But I asked you to quit and work for me, and you turned me down. I need someone like you too, you know. Doesn't that mean... you've already abandoned me?"
That got under his skin.
What the hell was this logic? Morrison was like a brother. Yuki was... love.
How could those two kinds of bonds even be compared?
