Kakashi approached Clint Barton, who had been observing from the sidelines.
Clint had his eyes widened after just watching Kakashi's clone heal Creel.
'He can fucking heal people? What the hell!'
"You could heal injuries?" he asked, his voice tinged with disbelief.
Kakashi nonchalantly replied, "Yes, I suppose."
Clint's thoughts turned indignant, recalling a past incident. 'He let me bleed!'
"Wait, you never healed me when I accidentally cut myself playing with your kunai," he complained, crossing his arms.
Kakashi amusedly said, "It was just a tiny cut. You needed to man up a little. Besides, you need to man up a little."
Clint was looking for words to complain but did not find any. He decided to just change the topic.
"Well, Fury's looking for someone to heal Tony. He has some metal poisoning or something. He would probably stop complaining about you if you healed up Tony."
"Metal poisoning, huh? I can heal battle wounds. I'm not much of a medic. I might be able to take out the poison from his body, but I'm not sure if it would be a permanent solution," he said bluntly remembering that he had a basic poison removal jutsu which everyone in the Anbu needed to know.
Clint nodded, "I still would inform Fury about it. Better yet, you inform it. He's often complaining about getting to know your abilities from other sources and not you. Maybe this would increase the trust between you two."
'Fury and trust don't mix. He's already got Natasha and Barton spying already. Might as well throw him a bone.' Kakashi thought as he nodded, his voice flat. "Fine."
Clint's gaze shifted to Creel and Blonsky, recovering in the distance.
'Those two are beasts, and he's taming them like they are puppies.'
"You're training them well. With such a team, I don't think any enhanced would be able to give you much trouble."
"They're still brute-forcing their way through fights. I'll have to make them use their skills too. Once they face someone with equal strength, it'll be skill that helps them."
Clint's voice turned emotional, catching Kakashi off guard. "You're really a magic man. You could heal, you can do all this magic stuff, and you're a way better agent than me. And now we have these two monsters too. Kudos on teaching both of them a lesson, though. You know, before you came, I was supposed to be the strongest and most skilled agent in SHIELD."
Kakashi stayed silent as he knew Clint was venting his emotions. He recalled their missions together, Clint's sharp aim and quick wit. He was no slouch, but he was a normal human at the end of the day.
Clint's voice grew heavier, "I feel useless and scared sometimes, thinking about the time I'll have to fight such monsters. I don't fear fighting enhanced people. But I fear for my family sometimes, what would happen to them if I die fighting some enhanced. Cooper, my son, is six, you know. And Lila is four. I think about quitting sometimes."
Kakashi gave him a lazy look as he spoke, "Didn't I just say you needed to man up a little?"
Clint opened his mouth to argue, his thoughts defensive. 'Man up? Easy for him to say!'
But Kakashi continued, "Let's get to teaching you some chakra techniques. Power you up a little so you're no longer just a man with arrows."
Clint blinked, "What are you… saying?" he asked, his voice faltering.
"Didn't Fury tell you that what I do can be taught to other humans? Well, not everything, but some basic things."
Clint's mind raced, excitement mixing with doubt. 'Chakra? Me?'
"Are you serious?"
Kakashi nodded, his voice firm. "I am. Now let's get started with unlocking your chakra first."
He assessed Clint. 'He's trained his body well, he at least has genin-level chakra. If he was born in my world with this physique, he'd have jounin-level chakra at least.'
There was a reason Kakashi decided to help Clint. Clint was his comic relief in this grim world far from home. He knew that helping him was worth it. Well along with Naruto and Pakkun.
He gestured for Clint to sit.Kakashi placed a hand on Clint's back.
"Alright, you don't have to do anything, but this will be painful since you've spent your entire life without access to your chakra. What I'm about to do will make your chakra flow through your chakra points and unlock them. Try to start feeling it in your body."
Clint had a wry smile at that.
'Painful? Great.' He nodded, his resolve was firm. 'For Cooper and Lila.'
Kakashi channeled his chakra, forcing it into Clint's body. Clint groaned, his thoughts a haze of agony. He gritted his teeth, enduring, his mind focused on his family.
Kakashi monitored the chakra flow, ensuring it opened Clint's pathways without overwhelming him.
Clint's groans subsided after a while.
Kakashi stepped back. ' With this much chakra, I should be able to teach him wall walking, illusion clones, rope escape technique, and maybe a single C-rank jutsu. That's the most he'll handle in battle. Augmenting his arrows with chakra should be feasible, but it depends on his chakra control.'
Clint stood."Did it work?" he asked, his voice eager.
Kakashi's eye crinkled. "You're alive, so yeah."
Clint asked, "So now can I get as strong as you?"
"Dream big, Barton. I have seen it helps and drives people. But let's not be to greedy. Maybe not me strong, but you can definitely become stronger than now." Kakashi said amused.
