Chapter 53 - Chapter 52: Kakashi in Asgard (2)

Kakashi's Mangekyou Sharingan locked with Odin's single eye.

He phased his arm through Odin's grasp with Kamui, flipping back to create distance. His eye never left the king of the Asgard.

Odin's voice boomed, heavy with anger. "Midgardian, who gave you the right to kill my son?"

Kakashi's tone was sharp, laced with sarcasm. "Who gave your son the right to kill people on what you call Midgard? They were innocents. I believe killing innocents is a crime in every world, wouldn't you agree, King of Asgard?"

Odin's expression softened, his eye turning to Loki, who stood defiant, "Loki, what have you done, my boy?"

Loki's voice was bitter with resentment. "I was going to destroy Jotunheim, Father. I would've proven myself—proven I'm your son, a better king than Thor! I even have killed Laufey and I would have succeeded if this Midguardian would not have interfered."

Odin's gaze softened further, his thoughts heavy with sorrow. 'My son, lost in his ambition. You never needed to prove yourself to me.'

"No, Loki," he said, his voice gentle but firm. "You don't have to prove anything. But what you've done, what you planned, is unjustified. A trial will be held."

Odin turned to Kakashi, his tone measured. "I believe even in Midgard, criminals are punished by law. He will be punished here in Asgard. Just like how the natives of your world are punished in their birth country."

Kakashi nodded, his voice steady. "True, but people will want to see him punished. Here, we won't know if you're even doing it. I have to take him with me. Higher ups orders!"

Odin's eye hardened, his thoughts resolute. 'This Midgardian dares demand my son? Bold, but foolish.'

"Then we have reached an impasse."

Kakashi's lazy expression vanished, his stance shifting to battle-ready. "I think we have."

Thor stepped forward, Mjölnir in hand, his voice a warning. "Leave it, Midgardian. You stand in Asgard, before the Allfather, Odin. You may be skilled, powerful even, but against him, you're no more than an ant."

Kakashi ignored him, his chakra surging. 'Ant, huh? Let's see about that.'

A blue aura enveloped him, shimmering as skeletal arms formed, then a ribcage, and finally a towering humanoid figure.

The Susanoo stood in all its glory, a giant of chakra armor, its presence radiating power. Kakashi stood at its core in the head.

He looked at Odin, his voice firm. "I'm not leaving without completing my mission."

Odin's eye widened slightly, his voice tinged with surprise. "And I'm not giving you my son. My wife would kill me if I did."

'This power… it feels like the celestial beings I fought long ago. A Midgardian wielding such might?'

Thor and Loki stared, gobsmacked, as the Susanoo loomed over them. Thor's thoughts raced.

'This Midgardian summons a god's aura? Its power radiates divinity, more powerful than my own. Maybe equal to Father's Odin Force. How can a mortal wield this?'

His grip on his hammer tightened, his awe mixed with fear. 'He bested the Destroyer, my friends, and now challenges Father? He's no mere man. Father was right, I was too arrogant in thinking that I was pretty strong with no equal to me across the nine realms.'

Loki was filled with envy, 'This power rivals Asgard's greatest. A god-like force from a mortal? Impossible! Yet he stands against Father, unafraid. If I could harness that power…' His spear hummed, but he stayed still, Odin's presence holding him back.

'This is my chance to escape. I will have to be careful though. Both Father and Midgurdian will be keeping an eye on me.' he tried to weave an illusion spell but he felt Kakashi and Odin both looking at him straight.

Odin said "Guards!"

Four royal guards donned in armor appeared. "Seize Loki. Don't let him escape. Cuff him up. Thor keep an eye on your brother."

"Yes father," Thor said as he looked at Loki straight with sadness in his eyes.

'Why do all of this brother? I don't think that I even want the throne right now. I just want to go back to Midgard and spent time with Jane.' A smile appeared on Thor's face as he thought of Jane.

But then he felt a sudden tugging on his arm holding Mjolnir.

He saw the canine that was worthy enough to hold mjolnir biting it by it's handle.

"Let go, Canine. Give some respect to Mjolnir." Thor said but Pakkun did not budge.

Back with Odin and Kakashi,

Odin's thoughts deepened as he looked at Kakashi, his eye narrowing. 'Heimdall spoke of this one—a warrior slipped through the multiverse's cracks. He looks battle-hardened and judging from his age, a genius with too much talent and no clear purpose. Like Hela.'

His heart ached at the memory of his daughter. 'A century ago, I'd have matched him easily. But fresh from the Odinsleep, this will be a challenge.'

Odin glanced around the palace garden, noting the delicate structures. 'This is no place for a battle of this scale.'

"Let's take it to the skies, Midgardian."

Kakashi nodded, his Susanoo's wings unfolding. With a single flap, the wings sent a gust that uprooted trees, and he soared into the air. Odin followed, his own power propelling him upward, his cloak billowing.
