Chapter 13 - Chapter 12

 Seven Years Ago

Kaiser

After I left her house that morning, I made up my mind to see her again.

This time, a better person.

I looked for jobs where I could work but that didn't go so well.

So I resorted to helping construction workers do menial jobs.

I worked hard and I was paid little wages that was barely enough to feed me and that was where I met Dave.

His father was a construction worker and he had followed his Dad that day to supervise the work going on.

And that was how we became friends and he told his father about me and since I helped around with the work they were doing, He agreed to take care of me.

I was really grateful, I owe Dave and his Father a big one.

Dave was about writing his exams to get into college and I didn't go to High school but since I was smart, Dave's father paid for my examination fees while I studied together with Dave at home and we both wrote the exams and got into College.

And we had to travel to London.

In College, Dave was really loud but atleast he wasn't irresponsible.

I preferred to go on a low profile, I didn't want any trouble.

But somehow I still got into trouble lots of times with bad gang that I refused to join and I was always bullied and beaten up-in college.

I always came back with bruises and refused to tell Dave what was happening whenever he asked and he became worried.

Life was hell but I still made it through.

 Present Day

I was in bed, the ceiling had become my object of focus.

I stared at it for a long time, thinking.

 Rhyssa, I thought.

She found her way into my thoughts.

She was breathtakingly alluring and God, I would've kissed her if I hadn't controlled myself.

The way she talked, how petite and delicate she was and how her long lashes fluttered whenever she blinked, her smile and her laughter.

I needed to see her again and God help me, I don't grab her and kiss her.

 ♥︎♡♥︎

I was in my office the next morning.

Sipping coffee while I typed away at my computer.

The creamy rich taste was something I needed to activate my brain while working.

I couldn't take my mind off Rhyssa, she had become my obsession lately.

 I looked at my phone.

I dialed her number.

After a few rings, she picked up.

"Hello" She said professionally.

"Hi Rhyssa" I replied

"Kaiser?" She asked

"How did you get my number?" She asked, in disbelief and I chuckled.

"Doesn't matter, are you free tonight?" I asked

"Yeah I am" She said and my inner self danced with joy.

"Well I wanted us to go out together and talk" I said politely.

"Is this a date?" She asked in her cheerful voice and I paused.

 "Y-yeah" I stuttered

"Okay, just text me the venue and time" She replied and I agreed to do so.

 I heaved a deep sigh.

I almost didn't know what to say.

It was a date.

I've never been on a date.

I went on my computer to search for nice places for a date and what to wear for them and I found the perfect venue and texted it to her alongside the time.

Damn, I was so nervous.
