But as Mel touched down, their gazes softened, like snowfall reversing course to float back into the sky.
"Ah, Mel!" A grumpy Lila's face beamed, as Mel's steps landed upon the soft soil in the distance with a small smile.
She petted the broom before dismissing it, then headed towards Lila, the elf following closely behind.
"Quite a good job you did here, Lila!" Her cheerful voice boomed as her gaze swept around, where corpses of crystalised kobolds littered the mudded ground.
